NSGA Member Organizations hold annual games with qualifying competitions in the year preceding The Games. Athletes that meet specific criteria while participating in the State Senior Games qualify to participate.
The state games are held yearly. In even numbered years, the Ohio Senior Olympics State Games acts as a qualifying event for the National Senior Games, which are held in odd numbered years.
Southern Ohio Senior Games is the organization sanctioned by Ohio Senior Olympics, Inc. to oversee the Senior Games movement throughout the state of Ohio. Ohio Senior Olympics, Inc. is sanctioned by the National Senior Games Association.
